What We Do
Fuel polishing removes water, sludge, and contaminants from fuel that’s already in your tank — without pumping it out for disposal. Most of the time we can save and rejuvenate fuel that other companies would haul away.
How the Process Works
- We remove the sending unit to gain access to the bottom of the tank, then run a wand to the lowest point where water and sludge collect.
- We draw fuel and pull the majority of the water out into a 55-gallon drum.
- Fuel is then cycled back through a fill port and run through staged filtration — from a 5-micron down to a 0.5-micron bag filter, then through two 2-micron Racor filters.
- After roughly one full tank capacity has cycled, we add our tank cleaner and water sorb.
- We keep polishing until the fuel runs crystal clear.
Why Polish Your Fuel
- Removes water and dissolves sludge
- Improves octane and cetane
- Cleans deposits from the tank and the fuel system
- Prevents the downtime and repair bills that contaminated fuel causes
Our products are petroleum-based and will not attack hoses or gaskets. Polishing and
tank cleaning is inexpensive maintenance compared to the cost of a motor repair.
